Bobby Wilson

Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, Bobby Lynn Wilson, 70, loving husband of 36 years to Sherrel C. Wilson. 

Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Melissa Daniel (Chad) and Shannon Brown; grandchildren: Scarlett Jenkins, Hunter Daniel, Taylor Daniel, and Gage Daniel; son-in-law: Steve Jenkins; sister: Annice Meeler; brother: Bruce Wilson; four-legged companion: Sugar; and several extended family members in Tennessee. He is predeceased by his sister: Paulette Wilson and his brother: Kenneth Edward Wilson. 

Bobby was a native of Henderson County, TN. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Bobby would always have the grandchildren into something. Whether that was putting them in the tractor bed and raising them in the air or bringing home a new contraption for them to ride on. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and  Tennesse Vols fan, enjoyed fishing, and enjoyed the outdoors. Bobby worked at Covidien for over 20 plus years as Industrial Maintenance and finished off his working career with a dear friend Andy Davis (Landscaping). 

The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. 

Pallbearers will be Chad Wilson, Justin Fennell, Parker Fennell, Gage Daniel, Johnny Thigpen, Steve Jenkins, Andy Davis. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Bobby loved his animals, especially Boxers. Bobby also had a lot of respect for the military.
