Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, January 1, 2015, Mrs. Bonnie Mae Owens, 81, loving wife of 44 years to Franklin Owens.
Mrs. Owens was born in Miles City, Montana, but called Augusta home for the last 60 years. She worked at Sherman and Hemstreet and the Georgia Railroad Bank as a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and siblings.
Family members in addition to her husband include her son: Jim Mashburn (Evelyn); daughter: Angela Sloan; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
A funeral service will be Monday, January 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM, in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Nate Dean officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Gil Owens, Jr., Gene Owens, Jr., Bradley Owens, Hayden Kaigler, Scott Washington, and Noah Whitesell.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association: 106 SRP Drive, Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
