Brenda Everett

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, March 7, 2024, Brenda Sue Pate Everett, 76. 

Brenda was born in Pickens County, Alabama where she graduated from Gordo High School and attended the University of Alabama. She lived in Augusta for over 40 years where she was a realtor and worked for Keller-Williams Realty before retiring. As a member of First Baptist Church, she was part of the Benevolence Association, a member of Grace Sunday School Class and the Breast Cancer Survivors Group.  

Brenda and her husband fished along the rivers in the northwest and travelled the southwest including the Grand Canyon with her older grandchild. She was an avid University of Alabama football fan and could be seen at the little league park watching her younger grandchildren play baseball.  Brenda was a loving and giving person and will be dearly missed.

Family members include her children: Becky Kitchens (Ron), Mark Everett (Yani); grandchildren: Ari Everett, Tara Cox (Bernard), Bryson and Riley Kitchens; great grandchildren: Lyla and Benjamin Cox;  and sister: Linda Pate Watson of Gordo, Alabama.  She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne George Everett, son Scott Everett, her parents Hill and Guesner Pate, and brother-in-law Aubrey Watson.  

The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 3pm in the chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Chaplain Earl Welch officiating. Interment will take place at Center Springs Cemetery in Gordo, Alabama at a later date.  

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
