Augusta, GA – Entered into rest after a long illness Monday, October 28, 2013, Buel Sawyer, 72, husband of Nita F. Sawyer.
Mr. Sawyer was born in 1941 in Malvern, AL. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a wholesale lumber broker for B & N Forest Products. He was also a member of West Acres Baptist Church. Buel loved life, the mountains, and his friends. He loved his Lord. His beautiful wife of 24 years was his love and his hero. Even in sickness, Buel continued to bring much joy and laughter to all who knew him.
In addition to his wife, family members include son: Brett Sawyer; daughter: Amy Green; and siblings: Jimmy, Joe Mack, and Susan.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 1, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Robert G. Nordan officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1190 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, GA 30909.
