Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, July 3, 2011, Mr. Buford Hollis Lindsey, 76, beloved husband of Mrs. Barbara Jean Lindsey.
Mr. Lindsey was born in Spruce Pine, AL, but lived the majority of his life in Southgate, MI where he provided a wonderful life for his family. He spent his last years in Augusta. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Great Lakes Steel as an electrician. Mr. Lindsey was a member of Wick Road Baptist Church.
Family members in addition to his wife include three adoring daughters: Denise Leafgren (Craig), Diane Reeves (Garon), Gayle Bryan (David); cherished brothers: Willie Lindsey, Curtis Lindsey, Houston Lindsey; six grandchildren: Lindsey Clasen, Lacey Reeves, Ashley Leafgren, Kyle Leafgren, Austin Bryan, Abbie Bryan; and two great-grandchildren: Conrad Clasen and Evan Clasen who were the joy of his life.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 8, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Journey Community Church with Rev. David Bryan officiating. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
