Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, October 3, 2024, Richard “Cam” Campbell Harison, 58.
Cam was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. He was a graduate of Aquinas High School. At the age of 22, he was involved in a car accident that rendered him a C5 quadriplegic where he remained in a wheelchair for 36 years. Cam retired from Cherry Bekaert where he worked for 20 years as a Client Services Specialist. Most recently he volunteered at Walton Options. Through his hardship, Cam showed courage and strength and always remained loyal to friends. Cam’s family would like to thank Larry Oliphant for all of his love and care he has provided Cam for 31 years.
Family members include his daughter: Olivia McConnell Harison; sister: Eleanor H. Slaby (Richard); brother: Philetus Sawyer Harison, Jr. (Julie); former wife and mother of his child: Margaret Doyle Harison; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents: Philetus Sawyer Harison and Grace Merry Harison.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
