Martinez, Ga – Entered into rest Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at University Hospital, Mr. Carl B. Hamilton, Sr., 79, husband of Mrs. Dora G. Hamilton.
Mr. Hamilton was a native of Edgefield County. He was a retired automobile dealer. A veteran of the U. S. Army, having served his country in the Korean war He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church of Edgefield County and the V.F.W. of Augusta, GA.
Family members include: wife; Dora G. Hamilton of Martinez, sister; Mary Louise Farris and husband, Russ, step-daughter; Duranne Latislaw and husband, Thomas of Hephzibah, sons; Carl Bland Hamilton, Jr. of Greenwood, SC, Barry Hamilton and wife, Jill of Flowery Branch, GA., Brad Hamilton and wife, Stacy of Slidell, LA., 10 Grandchildren; Kristin Hamilton, Morgan Hamilton, Abby Hamilton, Lauren Hamilton, Kristina Hamilton, Olivia Hamilton, Tyler Hamilton, Melita Latislaw, Patrick Latislaw and Nicholas Latislaw.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Eleazer Benehaley officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Satcher, Jimmy Benson, Eddie Taylor, Don Eastmead, Patrick Latislaw, Russ Farris and Doug Mansky.
