Keysville, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, June 26, 2011, Mr. Carl B. Wheatley, 72, loving husband of 53 years of Elaine B. Wheatley.
Mr. Wheatley, a native of Augusta, served in the Army Reserve. He was an active member of Vidette United Methodist Church. Mr. Wheatley retired from International Paper after 44 years. He owned and operated Wheatley’s Nursery in Gough, GA.
Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Ron C. Wheatley and wife Lisa of North Augusta, SC, Richard C. Wheatley of Hephzibah, GA; grandchildren: Chelsea E. Wheatley, Benjamin K. Wheatley; brother, Thomas Wheatley and wife Jimmie of Evans; sisters: Edna Waagner and husband Ernest of Austin, TX, and Mary Jane Greer and husband John of Atlanta, GA; and Carl’s beloved Pug, Rudy.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Griffin Thompson officiating.
