Carl Bivins

Augusta, GA – Larry Carlton Bivins went to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday, March 24, 2025. He was born in 1959 in Macon Georgia, but lived most of his life in Columbia, South Carolina and Augusta, Georgia. Carl struggled for several months with cancer and was lovingly cared for by his family. Carl was deeply devoted to the Lord Jesus; his illness required him to be an online worshiper at Moody Church every Sunday. Under this influence he grew to know the Lord in a more personal way that changed him forever. He grew up in a home devoted to the Lord. He deeply loved his family, and his family loved him in the same manner. He graduated high school in Columbia, South Carolina and became an avid gamecock fan. He retired from Machine and Welding in the Air Gas Department where he was District Sales Manager for the Southeast and acquired large accounts for multiple restaurants. Carl never met a stranger and was loved by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his mother: Sue Helen McLemore Bivins; daughter: Jennifer Ronan (Joe); son: Brent Bivins (Yna); his sister: Renee Price (John); his grandchildren: Marshall, McKailyn, Maybrie, Mollie, Maura, Tommy and Faith; Aunts: Sylvia, Pierce, Marianne Bivins and Pat Bivins. Carl was predeceased by his father: Larry Bivins and his brother: Jon Bivins.

A graveside service will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Ben Palacz officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
