Evans, GA - Carl E. Brown, 60, entered into rest Friday, May 8, 2015.
Mr. Brown was a member of the First Baptist Church of Augusta where he served on the Benevolence Committee, taught Sunday School and served as Deacon. He retired from the Georgia Department of Revenue with more than 20 years of service. Mr. Brown loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his children.
Family members include sons: Jonathan Brown of Acworth, GA and Tyler Brown of Evans; daughters: Allison Renew (Joe) of Grovetown and Caroline Brown of Evans; granddaughter: Katelynn Renew; brothers: David A. Brown and Steven H. Brown; sister: Julie Brown LaPierre; niece: Kallie Brown; and mother: Jeanne Brown. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph H. Brown, Jr.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Austin Brown (nephew), Rabun Neal, Tom Hayes, Barrett Hayes, Steve Smith, and Sid Brown. Honorary pallbearers: Bobby Arnold, Matthew Smith, Tony Foss and Benjamin Brown.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church Benevolence Fund: 3500 Walton Way Extension, Augusta, GA 30909.
