Aiken, SC – Mr. Carlton F. Griggs, 57, entered into rest Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at Aiken Regional Hospital.
Mr. Griggs was a native of Greenbelt, MD. He resided in Aiken, SC and was formally of Augusta, GA. He was a sheet metal/welder for Superior Air Handling at SRS.
Family members include his mother, Betty Griggs of Augusta; son, Nicholas Griggs of Maryland; sisters: Kathy Synan (Jeff) of Augusta, Bonnie Mims of Augusta, Sandy McCray (Donnie) of Lothian, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Griggs; sister, Leslie Courville; and brother-in-law, Larry Mims.
A private memorial service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic Social Services, 811 12th Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
