Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, December 10, 2013, Mrs. Carlyn Lowe McElreath, 87 wife of the late Mr. R.T. “Mac” McElreath.
Mrs. McElreath was a graduate of Savannah High School and attended Mercer University. She was a member of Forest Hills Golf Course and the Metropolitan Women’s Club. Mrs. McElreath worked for the Richmond County Board of Elections as a poll manager and retired from St. John Towers. She was a very active member of National Hills Baptist Church.
Family members include daughters: Linda Mikkelson (Don) of Hilton Head, SC; Mary Helen McElreath of Augusta and Carla M. Holt (Tim) of Warner Robins, GA; son: R.T. “Terry” McElreath, Jr. (Ann) of Hendersonville, NC; grandchildren: Eric Mikkelson (Liza). Nick Mikkleson, Elizabeth M. Collins (Beau), Trey Morrison, Trent Holt, Robbie McElreath and Melissa M. Atkinson; three great grandchildren; and sister: Helen Torbert.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2013, at 11:30 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Dr. Kevin Steele officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to National Hills Baptist Church; Building and Grounds/ Nursery, 2725 Washington Rd, Augusta, GA 30909.
