Evans, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, February 4, 2016, Mrs. Carol L. Paul, 79 the loving wife of 51 years to Mr. Gerald E. Paul.
Mrs. Paul was a native of Pineville, KY but lived the last 40 years in Augusta, GA. She was a giving person and her family always came first. Mrs. Paul was a noted Bridge player. She and Mr. Paul were volunteers with the Jaycees, and then Mrs. Paul worked with children with developmental disabilities while living in Jesup, GA. She was a doting and devoted Grandmother. Mrs. Paul was a long time member of St Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Family members, in addition to her husband, include her daughters: Tonya Paul and Tammy Paul Steinmeyer and husband Michael; grandchildren: Kevin and Megan Steinmeyer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother: Eula Bennet and brothers: Brown L. Bennett and Bill R. Bennett.
The funeral Mass will be Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St Teresa of Avila Catholic Church with Fr. Mike Ingram as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Catholic Social Services, 811 12th St., Augusta, GA 30901 or the Alzheimer Association, 106 SRP Drive, Suite A, Evans, GA 30809.
The family will receive friends Monday from 12:00 to 1:00pm in the church’s social hall.
Burial will be at the Columbarium at the Church
