Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, April 20, 2016, Caroline O. Chamberlain, 52, loving wife to Sherman M. Chamberlain, MD.
Mrs. Chamberlain fought a brave and graceful battle against cancer for 3 ½ years. A loving wife and mother, she was especially proud of her three sons. She was a 1986 graduate of Mt. Holyoke College and a 1991 graduate of Boston College Law School. A community volunteer, she donated her time to Augusta Prep, the Junior League, and the Barrington Home Owners Association. She loved baking, tennis, reading, traveling and enjoying the beach.
In addition to her husband and three sons: Drew Chamberlain, Noah Chamberlain and Mark Chamberlain; family members include, her parents: Richard Oehmler and the late Dorothy Oehmler; sister: Dorothy Williams (Gene); two brothers: Richard M. Oehmler, Jr. (Patricia) and Michael Oehmler; sister-in-law: Constance Oehmler and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother: William Oehmler.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Hull celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909.
