Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Trinity Hospital, Mrs. Carolyn B. Lee, 82, wife of the late George Robert Lee.
Mrs. Lee was a native of Montgomery, AL but lived in Waynesboro, GA. She was a graduate of Lanier High School of Montgomery, AL. She then received a Bachelor’s Degree for Social Services from Augusta College. Mrs. Lee retired after 20 years from the Augusta Housing Authority and Senior Citizen Council as a nutrition director. She was a member of Brooklyn Heights Baptist Church.
Family members include daughters: Sheila Lee (Lonnie), Jean Kernaghan (the late Herbert), Kathy Beggs (Allen); grandchildren: Keith Taylor (Rachel), Mack Taylor (Kim) Candace Jeancake (Chris), Brad Beggs, Justin Beggs, Matthew and April Wentlein, Heather Jenia, and Trey Kernaghan; 12 great grandchildren; step-children: Sarah Wentlein (Jerry) and Michael Lee.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Justin Beggs officiating.
The family will receive friends at the grave following the service.
