Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of the Augusta area. She retired as a clerk from CVS Pharmacy.
Family members include: daughter, Sherlyn Brown (James) of Greenville, SC; son, Dewey P. Smith, Jr. of Hephzibah, GA; 5 grandchildren: James F. Renew, Jr., Tonya Renew, Joshua Brown, Michael Renew, Dewey Paul Smith, III and Kyle Wesley Richard Smith; 5 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Magnolia Cemetery.
