Augusta, GA – Catherine Duffy, 94, entered into rest on March 12, 2017, at her residence.
Mrs. Duffy was a native of Quakertown and Philadelphia, PA having made the Augusta area her home for the past 14 years. She was born on June 15, 1922, in Trenton, NJ to the late Stanislaw and Rozalia Jarzyla.
Family members include two sons, Edward T. Duffy, Jr. (Barbara) of Evans and Dennis R. Duffy (Patricia) of Quakertown, PA; one sister, Teresa Rafalowski of New Hope, PA; grandchildren are Tracy D. Krenz (Brent) and Audrey D. Harden (Gary); great-granddaughters are Zoe M. Krenz, Sasha N. Harden, Sophia L. Harden and Sara N. Harden. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Duffy, Sr.; sister, Alice Ziolkowski; brothers, Joseph Jarzyla and Stanley Jarzyla; and great-granddaughter, Phoebe T. Krenz.
Interment will be in the family plot at St. Hedwig’s cemetery in Trenton, NJ. The family will receive friends Wednesday March 15, 2017, from 5-7 pm at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484. Please sign the guestbook at www.thomaspoteet.com
