Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, June 29, 2017, Catherine Skinner Plunkett, 93, loving wife of 72 years to Olin Plunkett.

Mrs. Plunkett was a native of Augusta and spent the majority of her life residing on Skinner Mill Road. She graduated from Tubman High School in 1940. Mrs. Plunkett earned an Associate Degree from South Georgia College. She was a lifelong member of Warren Baptist Church and a member of the Joyful Ladies Sunday School class.

Family members, in addition to her husband, include her daughters: Jane Plunkett Shaw (Dick) of Savannah, Anne Plunkett Winslow of Augusta; son: Mark Plunkett (Marcia) of Augusta; five grandchildren: two step-grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; and a brother: E. O. “Buddy” Skinner of Augusta.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in The Chapel at Warren Baptist Church with Dr. David McKinley and Rev. Dave Dillard, and Rev. Brett Legg officiating. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Warren Baptist Church, 3203 Washington Road, Augusta, GA 30907.
