Cecil D. “Don” Ardrey, Jr.

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, December 3, 2013, Mr. Cecil D. “Don” Ardrey, Jr., 85, husband of Mrs. Sara D. Ardrey.

Mr. Ardrey was a native of Huntingdon, PA but lived in Augusta for the past 47 years. He retired from the United Sates Army after 22 years of service. Mr. Ardrey was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a Mason in the George Walton Lodge. Mr. Ardrey enjoyed square dancing, fishing, card games and wood working. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Vince J. Ardrey (Gayle) and Brett Ardrey (Joy); daughters: Judy A. Isenberg (Thomas), Cynthia A. Mathis and Kai M. Prather (Tony); grandchildren: Brandy Rhodes, Jessica Gay, Breck Ardrey, Hannah Ardrey, Connor Ardrey, Michael Ardrey, Joseph Ardrey, David Ardrey, Paul Prather and Emrie Canen; six great grandchildren; brother: Junior Kyle and sisters: Bonnie Morningstar and Dolly Ranck.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 6, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Healy celebrant. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Burial with full military honors will be at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, GA at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church 2607 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta, GA 30906.
