Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, May 3, 2021, Mr. Charles Edward Brinson, Sr., 80, husband of Mrs. Ann Walker Brinson.
Charles was a native of Port Wentworth, GA, and a member of St. Luke Anglican Catholic Church where he was a lay reader for many years. He served in the Air National Guard for 8 years and was an agency manager for Georgia Farm Bureau in Richmond County where he was highly successful. Charles enjoyed hunting, photography, building model boats, fast cars, and spending time outdoors. He was heavily involved at Evans High School where he volunteered videoing football games, and was a huge UGA fan. Charles deeply loved his family and he strived to make others happy. He will be remembered as being strong, loving and fiercely devoted to those he loved.

Family members in addition to his wife include his son: Charles E. Brinson, Jr. (Cathy); daughter: B. R. Smith (Scott); grandchildren: Rebecca Crawford, James Smith, Joseph Smith, Mitchell Brinson and Macy Brinson Bennett (Gavin) and great grandsons: Cash Crawford and Brody James Bennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Hettie Blanton Brinson and his sisters, Barbara Jackson and Betty Carolyn Brinson.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Father Daniel Trout as celebrant. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be James Edward Smith, Joseph Robert Smith, Charles Mitchell Brinson, Gavin James Bennett, Robert L. Jackson, and Brad Sandbach; junior pallbearer: Cash Crawford and honorary pallbearer: Keith Middleton.
