Charles “Chuck” Stevens

Hephzibah, GA – Entered into peaceful rest Tuesday, December 26, 2017, Mr. Charles “Chuck” Linton Stevens, 74, loving husband of Barbara Baker Stevens.

Chuck served as a Staff Sergeant in the Air Force for eight years and served in Vietnam. He was employed by ADT/Tyco for 48 years. Chuck umpired for 55 years and was a member of the National Softball Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. He was also a member of Solomon’s Porch, South Augusta Exchange Club, and he volunteered at the Hephzibah Fire Department. In his spare time Chuck enjoyed fishing with his sons and spending time with his family.

Family members, in addition to his wife include his children: Shawn Stevens (John), Robbie Stevens (Jackie), Mark Stevens (Brittany), Matthew Stevens; seven grandchildren: Brittany and Amber Stevens, Ariel and Garrett Stevens, Aiden and Harper Stevens; siblings: Christopher Stevens of Hiram, GA, Judith Fuss (Norman) of Kennesaw, GA and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his grandson: Chad Stevens.

The funeral service will be Saturday, December 30, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at Oasis Church at Hephzibah with Pastor Steve Black officiating. Burial will follow at Hephzibah-Vance City Cemetery.
