Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Friday, December 4, 2015, Mr. Charles Poole, Sr., 71, husband of 51 years to Mrs. June Story Poole.
Mr. Poole was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta, GA. He retired after 35 years as a meat cutter at Kroger. Mr. Poole loved the Lord, loved to fish and loved his family.
Family members in addition to his wife include sons: Charles “Chuck” Poole, Jr. (Lisa) and Carl “Joey” Finore (Shannon) daughter: Angela Rudnick; grandchildren: John Samples (Stephanie), Justin Rudnick, Daniel Poole, Frances Van Soest (Derek) and Amber Arroyo (Felix) step-grandchildren: Kenneth Copeland and Ryan Copeland, Diana Lawson; sister Nancy Stark. Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Harvey and Lucille Poole; daughter: Bernadette Samples; grandson: J.C. Samples and brothers: Harvey Poole and Sammy Poole.
A memorial service will be Monday, December 7, 2015, 4:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Preacher Dwayne French officiating.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909.
