Charles Rhodric Veazey M.D.
Augusta, GA – Dr. Charles Rhodric Veazey died peacefully at his residence on Sunday, December 25, 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, of 48 years; children: Charles Rhodric Veazey, III (Elizabeth), Marcus Ronald Veazey (Emily), Rachel Joyce Temple (Adam), Rebecca Joan Scogin ( Aaron); 13 beloved grandchildren: Anna Gresham, Fran, Mary Charles, Marjorie, McNeil, Gray, Lucy, Mary Rebecca, Eloise, Norman, and Charles Oliver, Evelyn, and Houston; twin brother: Dr. Ronald Veazey (Joan); sister: Joyce Mize; Dr. Veazey was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Rhodric and Gladys Veazey.
Dr. Veazey was born and raised in Rossville, GA. He was a graduate of the University of Chattanooga and a 1969 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia and of Emory University Fellowship Program in Vascular Surgery. He had a long and happy practice in Augusta for many wonderful years.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Augusta where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 with Dr. George Robertson officiating. Pallbearers will be Mr. Adam Temple, Major Aaron Scogin, USAF, Mr. Charley Meyer, Mr. Philip Veazey, Jr., Dr. Nesbitt Dasher, Dr. Brooks Scurry, Dr. Larry Hogue and Dr. Jay Dennis. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
