Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, July 21, 2011, Mr. Charles W. Clark, 77, husband of Carol Sizemore Clark.

Mr. Clark was a native of Mobile, AL and had resided in the Augusta area for the last 33 years. He served in the US Army and Reserves. Mr. Clark retired as comptroller from Bobby Jones Ford. He was a very active member of Warren Baptist Church for 33 years, serving as Sunday School Director for 20 years, Deacon and Past Chairman, Chairman of the Finance Committee and Trustee, and member of the Senior Adult and Sanctuary Choirs. Mr. Clark was also the Past President of the Augusta Southwest Gideon Camp.

Family members in addition to his wife include son: Charles Warren Clark and wife Nicolette of Newport News, VA, brother: Bill Clark and wife Rosemary of Carteret, NJ, sister: Mary Ellison and husband James of Pensacola, FL, step-brother: Douglas Bartlett and wife Louise of Therodore, AL, step-sister: Dorothy Ann (Bartlett) Lawrence of Baton Rouge, LA, grandchildren: John Ripley Clark and James Warren Clark both of Conway, SC, Anthony Cartaya, Alexander Cartaya, Victoria Cartaya and Aurora Cartaya of Newport News, VA.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 25, 2011, Warren Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Terry Doss officiating. Interment will be held at Westover Memorial Park. Honorary Pallbearers will be fellow Deacons and Gideons.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons, Augusta Southwest Camp 10036, P.O. Box 204454, Martinez, GA 30907-4484.
