Chester Sarver, Jr.

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Wednesday, June 9, 2010, Mr. Chester Sarver, Jr., 86, husband of 58 years to Peggy Sarver of Augusta.
Mr. Sarver was born in San Francisco, CA. but was raised in Perrysburg, OH. He served in the United States Air Corps as a B-24 Gunner Bombardier in the Pacific during WWII. Mr. Sarver was a 1947 graduate of Ohio State University, and was employed at NASA as a civil engineer for three years. He retired from Georgia Power after 16 years. Mr. Sarver was a member of St. John United Methodist Church.
Family members in addition to his wife include sister: Phyllis J. Sarver of Boston, MA and brother: Glenn R. Sarver of Augusta. Mr. Sarver was predeceased by his parents: Chester Sarver, Sr. and Myrtle Frantz Sarver, sister: Barbara Charles and brother: Carleton Sarver.
The graveside service will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 10:00 AM in Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Gary DeMore officiating.
