Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Sunday, June 27, 2021, Mr. Christopher Michael Bryer, 34, loving husband of Jessica Hunsinger Bryer.

Christopher was a lifelong resident of Augusta. A graduate of Lakeside High School, Christopher was active in the Augusta music scene. He was an accomplished bass player and loved his time playing with many local bands including the Daze of Haze, Lyka Champ, and Traitor in a Second. He was a devoted husband, loving son and brother, and a doting uncle. He enjoyed attending festivals and traveling with his wife.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his parents: J. Michael and Sharon Bryer; sister: Megan Bryer Boyd (William); paternal grandparents: Mike and Carol Bryer; paternal grandmother: Joyce K. Carson; mother and father-in-law: Virginia and Dan Hunsinger; nephews: Bryer and Bodie Boyd; sister-in-law: Amanda Hunsinger; brother-in-law: David Taylor; loyal companion: BG; and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Henry and June Frazier.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with BJ Brush officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be William Boyd, Duste Newton, Cody Newton, Jamie Brownlee, Mark Crump, Paul Eubanks, Michael McLeod, and Jon Schroder.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
