Christopher Osbon
Augusta, GA – Christopher Geddings Osbon entered into rest on April 14, 2015 at Georgia Regents Medical Center. He was 44 years of age. Chris grew up in North Augusta, and moved to Augusta in his teenage years. He graduated from Aquinas High School, studied at Augusta State University, and was an accomplished recording artist, song writer, music teacher, and audio engineer who played in the praise band at First Baptist Church.
Chris could make friends with anyone and did so everywhere he went. He easily connected with others and was there to befriend and focus upon that one person in the crowd who needed extra love and support. Chris had an incredible passion for music and was an extremely gifted singer, guitar player and song writer. His humorous wit and contagious laugh were appreciated by all that knew him. His music was a privilege to experience and listen to. Chris had a sweet soul. He was kind and patient. He loved his family, his friends, his music and most of all his daughter, Emily Ellis. Chris is now in heaven with his heavenly Father and has been reunited with his mother Ann Ellis and father, Julian Osbon.
He is survived by his beloved daughter Emily Ellis, brothers Michael C. Osbon (Kristan), John W. Osbon, nephew David G. Osbon, many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members all of whom loved him dearly. He will be missed by so many, but the memories of Chris and his music will live on.
A memorial service will be Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church Mission Activities Center with Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Alan Baker, Jason Cochran, Jason Shields, Brian Brittingham, Bentley Rhodes and Grady Nickel.
