Augusta, Ga. – Entered into rest on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at University Hospital, Mr. Clarence Herbert Gaskins, husband of Claire Gaskins of Augusta.
Other family members include his daughter: Laura Hooker Beveridge and husband Albert; adored grandsons: Connor Beveridge; twins, Grayson and Tanner Beveridge and grand-dog: Rosebud

Mr. Gaskins was a native of Lakeland, Georgia, but cultivated many friends while living in Augusta for the last 16 years. He served in the US Army with the 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He retired as a manager with Lucent Technologies. Big Daddy loved the water and spent several years boating and fishing in the Florida Keys and enjoyed living on and boating in the Savannah River. He also enjoyed spending time with friends from the Augusta Yacht Club, the “Tuesday night steak club” and his many special friends in Costa Rica.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2:00 at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Sandra Leightner officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Nashville, Georgia.
