Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, October 31, 2022, Clarence William “Dutch” Miller, Jr., 94, loving husband of the late Norma Lou Clark.
Dutch was a native of Knoxville, TN. He moved to Augusta, GA in 1954 to work as an engineer at Babcock and Wilcox. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Augusta, where he taught Sunday school for over 30 years and was active in the Benevolence Ministry. In his younger days, Dutch enjoyed playing golf at Forest Hills Golf Course, fishing at Clark’s Hill Lake, and gardening.
Family members include his sons: Clark Miller (Bonnie) and Bruce Miller (Elizabeth); and grandson: Clark Miller, Jr. He is predeceased by a close friend of his: Helma McCombs.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Will Dyer officiating. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 A.M., prior to the service on Thursday.
