Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, October 7, 2017, Clarence R. Savage, Jr., 89, loving husband of 68 years to June Savage.

Mr. Savage was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. He was chairman of the Board of the Church, president of the Jane Wells Bible School Class and past president of AMBUCS. He was a 1943 graduate and was active through Jr ROTC at the Academy of Richmond County. He also graduated from Augusta College. Mr. Savage helped 8 boys for the International Soap Box Derby in Akron, OH. He retired from AB Beverage after 60 plus years of faithful service.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his sons: Rick Savage of Thomson, Danny Savage of Augusta, Brett L. Savage of North Augusta, and David White of North Augusta; grandchildren: Jesse Savage, Daniel Savage (Kristina), Nikki Savage, Matthew Savage, and Jordan Savage; great grandchildren: Tanner and Teagan Savage; brothers: George H. Savage and Russell “Doc” Savage; sisters: Irene Dye, Carol Odom, and Barbara Jean; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Clarence “Sonny” R. Savage, III.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Linda Birchall officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be members of AMBUCS, the Jane Wells Bible School Class and past and current employees of AB Beverage.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to AMBUCS, 1820 Valley Brook Drive, Grovetown, GA 30813.
