Claude Ernest Stephens

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, July 24, 2013, Mr. Claude “Buster” Stephens, 82, husband of Mrs. Wilma Stephens.

Mr. Stephens retired from the Army after having fought in the Korean and Vietnam War. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and an avid golfer. Mr. Stephens was the kindest gentlest man you would ever want to meet.

Family members in addition to his wife include daughter: Cynthia Jenkins (Sonny); sons: Virgil “Skip” Felix (Barbara) and Claude “Bucky” Ernest Stephens, Jr. (Maria); grandchildren: Rhonda Bradley and Preston Jenkins; and one great granddaughter. Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his grandson Beau Felix.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 26, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Jennie Hyatt officiating.
