Evans, GA – Surrounded by her family in the comfort of her home, Mrs. Claudia Mae Sellers entered into rest Monday, February 1, 2016.
Claudia was a native of Washington, Ga but lived in the Augusta and Harlem area most of her life. She retired as a nutritionist with the Columbia County Board of Education after 14 years. She was a loving wife for 58 years, a wonderful mother, and a cherished Granny and Aunt Mae Mae. She loved camping, fishing, and hunting with her husband. Claudia left her family and friends with many special memories, because of the traditions she created of always bringing everyone together for holiday’s and special events. And we can’t forget about her love of music, especially old country favorites like Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and Conway Twitty, that she shared many memorable dances to, with her husband!
Family members include her husband: Woodrow “Bubba” Sellers; daughters: Julie S. Lowe and the late Arthur Lowe and Donna J. Wilcox and husband David; Son: Doug E. Sellers and wife Arlene; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister: Debbie Graham and husband Ken; brother: the late Milton Lee Smith and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at
