Stapleton, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, April 5, 2014, Mr. Clifford Gordon Boone, 88, loving husband to Pearl Gertrude Boone.
Mr. Boone was a member of Wrens United Methodist Church and of the Griswald Sunday School Class. He served in the US Navy during WWII and retired from CSX Transportation System. Mr. Boone was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughter: Linda Diane Boone Lindley and her husband Frank of Augusta; grandsons: Jack Boone Lindley, Adam Nicholas; and nieces: Sherry Mistak and Sharon Hoffman.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Stan Littleton officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jack Boone Lindley, Adam Nicholas, Ronnie Ligon, Nick Nesbitt, Paul Wilkes, and Chuck Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be the Griswald Sunday School Class and Gary Hutchins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2607 Commons Blvd., Augusta, GA 30909 or to the American Heart Association, 190 Knox Abbott Drive, Suite 301, Casey, SC 29033.
