Clifford Hull, Sr.

Augusta, GA - Entered into rest on March 29, 2025, Mr. Clifford Hull Sr., beloved husband of 60 years to the late Erna Hull. 

Family members include his sons: Steven Robert Hull (Joyce), Clifford Hull Jr (Joan), Alan Henry Hull, Peter James Hull and Paul Andrew Hull, 14 grandchildren: Dina Mathews, Cassandra Sickels, Joshua Hull, Andrea Szabo, Alexa Craven, Rachel Mateo, Amanda Hull, Jesse Hull, Andrew Hull, Victoria Carroll, Daniel Hull, Robert Hull, Kristen Hull and Cassidy Hull. 

Clifford was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania but grew up in Danbury, Connecticut. At the age of 17 he enlisted in the US Army where he remained for 20 years. He served with the U.S. Forces in Austria (USFA) where he met his wife, Erna. He served two tours In Vietnam and was heavily decorated, including two Bronze Stars with Valor. Following his retirement from the Army, he immediately began another career with Columbia Nitrogen (DSM) that lasted 23 years. 

A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son on April 4, 2025 at two o’clock with Fr. Jacob Almeter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
