Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, November 6, 2016, Mr. Clyde A. Taylor, 88, loving husband of 64 years to Ruth F. Taylor
Mr. Taylor retired as Master Sergeant in the United States Army after 28 years serving in the Korean and Vietnam War. Also, he was Director of Security and retired as Major from the Richmond County Correctional Institute after 24 years. Mr. Taylor was a member of Mason East Point #288, Eastern Star Lake Wood Chapter #162, and was a life member of D.A.V. Chapter 10.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughter: Brenda G. Bartholomew (Don); sister: Kate Hick; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his sons Garry J. Taylor, Michael D. Taylor, and Gregory A. Taylor.
The funeral service will be Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Ryan Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Warrior Project, 701 Green St., Suite 104, Augusta, GA 30901.
