Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, November 30, 2015, Mrs. Connie Lord Davis, 63, wife of Mr. Bill Davis.
Mrs. Davis was a native of Dublin, GA but lived in the Augusta area for the past 41 years. She worked with the Columbia County School System for 30 years and retired as the Human Resources Director. Mrs. Davis also worked as the Human Resources Director in the McDuffie County School System. Before retiring for the last time, Mrs. Davis worked as the coordinator of USC Aiken Career Services. She loved antiques and remodeling old homes.
Family members in addition to her husband include daughter: Lauren Davis; sisters: Faye Thomas, Beckie Corbett, Emily Richardson; mother: Jean Ussery Lord and sister-in-law: Martha Kirkman. She was preceded in death by her father: Emory Lord and her sister: Dianne Hadden.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 1:00 P.M.in the Storey Chapel at First Baptist Church with Dr. Greg DeLoach officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Augusta at 3500 Walton Way Ext., Augusta, GA 30909.
