AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the Medical College of Georgia, Connie S. Wells, 63, wife of 43 years to George William Wells.
Mrs. Wells was a native of Augusta, Georgia, homemaker, and member of Curtis Baptist Church. She was an employee of Smoak’s Bakery for 17 years.
Family members in addition to her husband include her daughter: Ruth McNutt and husband Michael of Harlem, GA; son: George Wells, Jr. and wife Deanna of Martinez, GA; grandchildren: Justin Wells, Noah Wells, Dylan McNutt, and Melanie McNutt; brother: Colin Shaw and wife Nelle of Augusta, GA; sister-in-law: Gay Shaw of North Augusta, SC. Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Helen Shaw.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Rev. Sherrell Dunn officiating. Pallbearers will be Justin Wells, Michael Allen, John Allen, Paul Tidwell, Tyler Shaw and Curt Shaw. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
