Tennille, GA – Craig William Manfredi (65) passed away peacefully on May 26, 2024, in his home after a short battle with lung cancer.
Craig, the son of William and Eleanor Manfredi, was born on July 16, 1958, in Aiken, SC. After graduation from Louisville (GA) High School in 1976, he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Georgia in 1980. After a career in the early days of Cable TV, he became an entrepreneur. He purchased Arrowhead Motel in Cherokee, NC and then moved on to own Gasoline Alley bar in Athens, GA. In 2005 he earned his Juris Doctor from the West Coast School of Law and became a member of the California Bar in 2009. Craig wrote 15 books for lawyers which can be viewed at Crogware Publishing.
Before Craig learned of his illness, he lived meagerly and enjoyed spending time with his brother and friends playing guitar. He was surrounded in his final days by his family and friends in his home in Tennille, GA. His cousin Debra Morono came down from upstate NY to be his primary caregiver.
Craig is survived by 3 siblings: Ellen (Patrick) Mongan, Alan Manfredi, and Julie (Keith) Ward;12 nieces & nephews; 17 great nieces & nephews and many cousins. Craig was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lynn (Bob) Manfredi-Pettit.
A graveside service will be celebrated on Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 10:30 AM at the Calvary Cemetery, 1263 University Lane, Aiken, South Carolina. His cremains will be interred along with the cremains of his mother, Eleanor Manfredi.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made at America's Warrior Partnership (givelively.org).
