Tarkenton, 48, loving husband of 25 years to Rebecca “Becky” Hudson Tarkenton.

Craig was a graduate of Fitzgerald High School, Georgia Southern University and Western Governors University where he earned his master’s degree. He worked as an IT Manager for Tanium. Craig enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, running, bicycling, boating, and camping. A mentor to many, Craig changed the lives of all those who knew him for the better. He was an amazing son, brother, husband, father, cat daddy, friend and athlete. He made sure his wife, children and cats knew they were well loved.

Family members in addition to his wife include his children Chase Tarkenton and Olivia Tarkenton; mother Sharon Nasworthy of Warner Robins; father William Tarkenton of Virginia Beach, VA; siblings Valerie Riezinger (David) of Warner Robins; Stephanie Tarkenton and Brian Tarkenton (Krystal) of Chesapeake, VA; and Dana Tarkenton of Bessemer, PA; mother and father-in-law James and Martha Hudson of Fitzgerald; and sister-in-law Lisa McCard (Todd) of Fitzgerald along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Life Celebration will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son in Augusta with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating.
