Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, August 2, 2021, Johnathan Allen Fisher, 74, loving husband of Grovetown City Councilwoman, Deborah Fisher.

CSM Fisher was a native of Washington, DC and served 30 years in the United States Army, retiring as Command Sergeant Major (CSM). Following his service, he graduated and later worked for Augusta’s historic Paine College. CSM Fisher also served as President for the Sergeant’s Major Retired Association of the Central Savannah River area (CSRA) for the past 21 years. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Pendleton King, Chapter 10 in Augusta. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and patriot that will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Olivier Fisher (Wendy), Alain Fisher (Denisse), Dominque Fisher (Jose), Frederic Fisher (Corinna), Salomee Briggs (Chris); step-children: Taryn Jones, Charlene Gaskins; siblings: Rev. John Fisher Jr. (Brenda), Joan Shorts (James), Judy Baylor (Ernest), Joseph Fisher (Patricia), Jerral Fisher (Umbrenda), Jerome Fisher (Debroah), Jannetta Riley; several grandchildren and many other loving family members.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Interment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
