Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, March 7, 2012, Mr. Curtis C. Maddox, 86, husband of the late Mrs. Julia Gladys Maddox.
Mr. Maddox was a lifelong resident of Augusta and a lifelong member of Pierce Memorial United Methodist Church. He was an honorary member of Briar Creek Sportsman Club and served 3 years in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Maddox was owner and operator of Maddox Paint and Body.
Family members include: sons: David Maddox of Martinez, Phillip Maddox and wife Jill of Augusta, Terry Maddox and wife Deborah of Grovetown, GA; daughter: Judy Whaley of Grovetown; grandchildren: Chad Medlin and wife Ashlee, Amanda Bellotti and husband John, Joshua Maddox, Matthew Maddox, Trevor Maddox, Sarah Maddox, Hannah Maddox, Ryan Wagner; 3 great grandchildren: Wyatt Maddox, Wick Medlin, Isabella Bellotti and soon to be born: Maddox Medlin; and loving twin sister: Gertrude Philips.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Pierce United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ryan Wagner, Michael Maddox, Billy Maddox, Randy Maddox, Gary Philips and Keith Youngblood.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Pierce United Methodist Church, 1441 Jackson Rd. Augusta, GA 30909.
