Davisboro, GA – Entered into rest Monday, January 19, 2015, Mr. Curtis Wilkerson, 66, husband to Mary Newsom Wilkerson.

Mr. Wilkerson served in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970 in 1st Battalion/7th Marines Charlie Company as Sergeant E-5 and Weapons Specialist and served two tours in Vietnam. Mr. Wilkerson received his nursing degree from the University of South Carolina in Aiken and retired after 27 years from University Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room.

Family members in addition to his wife include his sister: Christine Payton (David) of Aiken, SC; brothers: Richard Wilkerson (Allan Stein) of Lake Mary, FL, Houston Wilkerson (Vickie) of Evans, GA; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Lewis Wilkerson and Mary Margaret Wilkerson.

A celebration of life will be Thursday, January 22, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son.
