Dale Vaughn Scott

Augusta, GA - Dale Vaughn Scott died Tuesday, January 17, 2023, in Augusta, Georgia.

Dale was born in Augusta, Georgia on November 8, 1942, to Lloyd S. and Frances F. Scott of Augusta and was one of their four daughters. She was a graduate of Richmond Academy and attended Augusta College. Dale held a number of positions in banking for 42 years at Bank of America and at its predecessor C&S Bank, starting her career as a teller, and then charge card manager, vault manager and later assistant vice president. She was also a devoted member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Nova Sunday School class. Dale loved and was loved by her family, friends, and colleagues and enjoyed spending time at Fripp Island, SC and traveling, including several trips to Europe for sightseeing, and to Atlanta, New York, San Francisco, and Chicago for plays and shopping.

Dale was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest sister, Shannon Scott Butler. She is survived by her sisters: Cary Scott Maxwell and Lynn S. Scott; her nieces: Frances S. Maxwell and Laura M. Hollingsworth (William) and nephews: Scott D. Magruder of Augusta, S. Russell Floyd of Savannah, GA and niece: Jenny Floyd Owen (Trevor) of Atlanta, GA.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park, with visitation to follow thereafter.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Dale V. Scott to the CSRA Humane Society, 425 Wood St, Augusta, GA 30904.
