Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Friday, October 21, 2016, Mr. Daniel E. “Danny” Cook, loving husband to Rita Wilcox Cook.
Danny was a native of Hamilton OH but has lived in Martinez for 23 years. He married the love of his life, Rita, in Big Bear, California in 1988. He served in the Naval Reserve during the Vietnam War. He and his wife have owned Augusta Rugworks for 18 years in Augusta.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his son: Andy Cook of Martinez, GA; daughter: Melissa Piercey (Jack) of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter: Jacquelyn Elizabeth Piercey; mother: Bernice Cook (Daniel) of Commerce, GA; brothers: Jerry Cook of High Point, NC, Tim Cook of Hawaii, Kevin Cook (Becky) of Commerce, GA; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. Cook.
The family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice for all their care for Danny and the support given to his family.
A celebration of life and open house will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. at their home in Martinez, GA.
