Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, December 10, 2016, Mr. Daniel Thomas Perry, Jr., age 30.
Daniel was a native and long-term resident of Augusta. He attended Davidson Fine Arts School and graduated from Westside High School where he played concert trumpet. He had also lived in Cape Canaveral, Key Largo and Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Daniel was brilliant with cyber technology and computers and loved playing and writing his own computer games. He was intrigued by foreign languages and traveled extensively in Europe and the Caribbean. He pursued an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Cyber Technology at Broward College and Augusta University.
Daniel had graduated Professional Mariner Training from the Chapman School of Seamanship and captained private yachts in Florida and the Bahamas. He was a PADI certified scuba instructor as well as an accomplished technical diver.
A self-proclaimed “master chef”, Daniel loved to cook for family, friends and anyone who appreciated fine cuisine. He was a kind and compassionate soul, a lover of animals, and a committed “friend of Bill”. Everyone agrees that he was “the best hug-giver ever” and brought “bright sunshine” to all who knew him.
Family members include his mother, Wendy Marie Wahl-Perry (Peter S. Knox, IV); father, Daniel Thomas Perry, Sr.; his shelter-rescue cat, “Roger Thomas”; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Augusta and around the world.
A “Celebration of Daniel’s Life” will be shared with family and friends on Wednesday, December 21st, 4pm to 7pm at Bodega Ultima in the lower level at Surrey Center.
