Daniza T. Saxon

Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Monday, May 29, 2023, Mrs. Daniza Thompson Saxon, 73, loving wife of 32 years to Mr. Samuel W. Saxon.

Daniza was born in Germany. After moving to Martinez, Georgia, she worked as a clerk at the VA Hospital where she worked for 27 years before retiring. Daniza was a faithful member of Church of the Most Holy Trinity. Being a very caring person, Daniza never met a stranger, she enjoyed sending cards to everyone. She loved all animals, especially her dogs Cookie and Ella.

Family members in addition to her husband include her son, Richard “Rick” Webb and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Daniza and David J. Thompson, III and her sister Svetlana Gerhardt.

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 2, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Fr. Jacob Almeter officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the CSRA Humane Society, 425 Wood Street, Augusta, GA 30904.
