Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, November 16, 2018, Mr. Dannie Elliott James, Sr., 73, loving husband of 55 years to Binkie R. James.

Mr. James was raised in The Historical Bath Presbyterian Church but was a member of Burns Memorial United Methodist Church. He retired from Coca-Cola/ABI.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Dannie E. James, Jr. (Dan) and wife Shannon, Suzan Makowski and husband Robert, Beth Beckett and husband Shawn; grandchildren: Whisper Daugherty and husband Kyle, Dannie E. James, III (Trip), Savannah Makowski, Tarrah Makowski, and Camden Beckett, great grandchild: Agnes Jean Daugherty; sisters: Willine Barnes and husband George, and Barbara Hundley; and brother: Gerald James.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 25, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews and honorary pallbearers will be the Hephzibah High School Class of ’63.
