Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, February 8, 2023, David “Dave” A. Covert, 76, loving husband of the late Cathy Andrews Covert.

Dave was born in Mobile, AL and graduated from Escambia High School and the University of West Florida, located in Pensacola, FL. He retired as a Loss Control Representative in the property casualty insurance industry. He was a member of St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. Dave was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #677, The Irish American Heritage Society and Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. He enjoyed reading, gardening, woodworking, and building models of ships and cars.

Family members include: his son, Alex Covert; stepson, Charles Andrews Hook; stepdaughter, Sara Mills Tucker (Dustin); and grandchildren Catherine and Conor Tucker and Charlee Anne Hook.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church with Fr. Mark Ross celebrant. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of The Knights of Columbus Council #677.
