David Connor

Hilton Head, SC – Entered into rest Saturday, February 18, 2017, Mr. David A. Connor, 60, loving husband to Frances Pope Connor.

David was a man that was loved by all. He always had a joke and a smile that could make everyone near him laugh. His compassion for all living things was like none other. In fact, he never met a squirrel or a fish he didn’t like, especially one at the end of his hook. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing as well as working on Go Cart racing with his son, Nick. He enjoyed having his children, grandchildren, friends and family around for family barbecues. It was time spent with family that was cherished the most by David. Such as on a boat at the lake fishing with his late father, Ned.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his son: Nicholas A. Connor (Tiffany); stepmother: Mary Julia Connor; grandchildren: Christopher A. Gary, Allie Connor, Abi Martin; brother: Louis W. Bowles, Jr. (Susan); sisters: Melinda Connor Tucker, Jennifer Connor Ponton (Frank); stepchildren: Elizabeth Gary Ruegger (Pete), Mary Frances Gary, Thomas R. Gary; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Connor was preceded in death by his parents: Ned H. Connor, Frances Moore Bowles and sister: Wanda D. Bowles.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet and Son with Judge Danny Craig officiating.
