David E. “D.E.” Hall
Augusta, GA – Mr. David E. “D.E.” Hall, 79, husband of Connie Dease Hall,
entered into rest Monday, May 9, 2011 at Doctors Hospital.
Mr. Hall was a native of Hephzibah, and a lifelong resident of the Augusta area. He was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church. Mr. Hall was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp serving in Korea. He was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat “V” for his actions during the battle of The Chosin Reservoir. He retired after working as a mechanic at E.I. DuPont.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughter, Karen Newman and husband Robbie of Evans; son, Emmett Hall and wife Bobbie of Augusta; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and his mother, Mrs. Lottie McGee of Hephzibah.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Fleming Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Atkins officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Hephzibah City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Parker E. Hall, Joey R. Newman, Robert P. Moore, Jerry K. Robinson, and Eric H. Center.
